Reforming Charity Tax Reliefs- A Chance to Have Your Say

There hasn't been a full review of charity taxation and reliefs for over 20 years and the world in which the voluntary sector operates has changed a lot since then! Tax reliefs for charities are estimated to be worth £3.77bn a year, the main ones being business rates relief, Gift Aid and VAT relief.

So how can the system be improved?

NCVO have established the Charity Tax Commission. It's assessing how the system can be modernised to help charities like yours make an even greater contribution to society.

Fundraising by Lichfield and Burntwood nursery business helps charity create book for bereaved children

A book designed to support bereaved children under five has been launched, thanks to a partnership between a bereavement charity and a nursery business based in Lichfield and Burntwood.

Never Too Young to Grieve is aimed at people who support youngsters during and after the loss of a parent or carer.

The launch of the new book

It has been produced by the Winston’s Wish charity following a £90,000 fundraising effort by Busy Bees nurseries.
