This session is suitable for those new to writing business plans for their organisation or those who want a refresher.

Why would you need to put together a business plan? This may seem strange for a voluntary sector organisation but it is an important document to enable you to plan for the future and account to your members and funders. It will enable you to understand your market and enable you to be successful in your aims & objectives.

Let’s Work Together aims to bring all agencies together to help people live healthy, safe and independent lives by giving the tools, training and skills to become the “eyes and ears” for partner organisations, identifying risks or referring to services. It offers a wide range of support and signposting to local people to help them live healthy, safe and independent lives.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Level 3

  • Assessment of the situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Burns

  • Anatomy
  • Minor injuries

Free to members of SCVYS or Support Staffordshire. Spaces are limited to two per organisation.

Volunteer Managers Workshop

This is an ideal workshop for busy Volunteer Co-ordinators who wish to gain knowledge of best practice and how to apply it. The day will also provide opportunities to network and share information.  This session will cover:

  • Developing a volunteering programme

Housing Conditions, Crisis Management—Love Inspire and South Staffordshire Water

Trent and Dove will be covering the common signs of disrepair in properties including Damp, Mould, Condensation and how they can be reported and also some tips and ticks on how to manage them.

South Staffs Water has a range of extra help services for their customers; one example is the Assure tariff, a new easy way for eligible customers to reduce their water charges by up to 80%.

Assure is a fairly  new scheme and they’ve helped over 8500 people obtain a discount on their water charges since it started, and over 20400 customers are receiving extra help/priority services.
