Do you come into contact with vulnerable people? Want to know more about referral routes so those who are most vulnerable can get the help and support that they need?

This FREE workshop aims to equip you with the tools, training and skills you need and identifies a wide range of support and signposting to local people to help them live healthy, safe and independent lives.

The Workshop will cover the following risks:

Befriending Skills

Half Day Course

Who should attend:

This course is aimed at staff and volunteers who are providing a befriending service to anyone in the community and wish to gain further knowledge and skills.   It is also suitable for managers and supporting staff.

Overview:

Befriending requires specific skills in order to build professional relationships that are successful and don’t become dependent.  This course aims to teach techniques that will enable befrienders to effectively carry out their roles.
