Emergency FIRST AID at Work (EFAAW)

This one day course provides organisations and individuals first aid to an appointed person level and aimed at those personnel that are working in low level risk such as offices, voluntary organisations, shops and schools; or those that are volunteering or seeking employment. This is a Health and Safety Approved Centre workshop where the assessment is in the form of continuous assessment and oral questioning.

This training is funded by Staffordshire County Council. To access this session for FREE you must be a member of Support Staffordshire.  Support Staffordshire reserves the right to charge you for your booking if you are not a member.

FREE places are restricted to TWO per organisation for this session so please check with your organisation before booking. Additional names can be added to a waiting list.

Financial awareness and saving you money

In this session, we will begin to look at online banking and e-commerce. The main focus will be around financial awareness so we will be looking at money-saving sites, comparison sites and how to shop around to get the best deal for yourself.

The aim after this session is that you will feel more confident in shopping around for the best deal for switching providers (for example).

As well as a clear path to be able to see how you could save money by implementing some of the things delivered in the session.

Horninglow Learning Centre to Reopen 14th September

Horninglow Learning Centre will be re-opening on Monday 14th September 2020. They will open as per normal operating hours which are Monday 1000hrs to 1600 hrs and Tuesday 1000 hrs until 1230 hrs.

To ensure your safety, desks will be positioned 2 metres apart. which given your seating position in the middle of a table, means you are actually 2.5 metres apart from any other individual.

Covid-19 Secure Risk Assessments

Are you aware of your responsibilities to make your premises Covid-19 secure? Are you fully comfortable with completing risk assessments? Do you know what areas to cover in when you are considering your services?

This course will look at all aspects of ensuring you are safe to operate and is aimed at individuals and organisations who will be completing risk assessments on behalf of their organisation or group.

Did you know 1 in 6 people report a common mental health problem in any given week in England? With the Covid pandemic, mental wellbeing has become an even more important topic that we should all be more familiar with.

Supportive Communities Training Session 3: Assistive Technology & Digital Skills

‘Supportive Communities’ is a programme of work that supports older people to stay healthy and independent for longer.  It's about:

Supporting people to stay connected with their local community.

Helping people to find different solutions, so they can stay in their own homes for longer. This could be a new piece of daily living equipment or technology that supports independence.

Encouraging people to look after their own health and wellbeing, so they can lead a healthy, happy and fulfilling life.
