Rebalancing the relationship: Final report

A new report from NCVO, ACEVO and Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales highlights ways in which larger and smaller voluntary organisations can support each other in the competitive commissioning environment and collaborate to achieve greater impact for the communities they serve.

Rebalancing the Relationship is the result of an 18-month research project that collected evidence of good and bad collaborative practice from over 200 larger and smaller charities.

Health for Teens

Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s Children and Families services (MPFT) have launched a localised page on the ground-breaking Health for Teens website -  www.healthforteens.co.uk

This unique website is the first NHS website that has been created by and for young people, complementing and raising the accessibility of School Nurses and featuring facts, quizzes and articles focussing on providing physical and mental health and wellbeing advice.

Fat Beehive Foundation funding

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis​

The Fat Beehive Foundation was established by Fat Beehive Ltd, a digital agency specialising in web design, branding and related digital products for organisations committed to social good.

The maximum value of £2500 funding is intended to help smaller charities build their online presence.

The funding is to be used to build websites or digital products.

Priority projects for support include those in the following areas:

Virtual Internships for charities and not for profits

Keele University is offering student interns to charities and not for profits - free of charge, no PAYE, working from home on a role or project of your choice (Keele will pay the students) - there are many talented students ready to work. Funding is kindly provided by Santander Universities.

Example projects could be research, helping to locate funding sources, administration, data analysis, social media (setting up, running and even training to your staff), Marketing, or help with fundraising

Easter Events for YMCA Burton

YMCA Burton are kicking off their Easter campaign with their annual Shopping & Pamper evening on Tuesday 17th March at Pirelli Stadium.

The event, which has over 25 stalls ranging from therapies, giftware and fashion will open it’s doors at 7pm – tickets are just £5.

Their next event will be held at Apne Restaurant on Cross Street in Burton on Monday 30th March. Tickets to Apne are £20 and usually sell out so make sure you book your place to avoid disappointment!
