The new Charity Governance Code – Essential reading for all trustees

Tamworth Advice Centre

From Monday April 3, the debt and general advice service based at Marmion House in Lichfield Street will be renamed Tamworth Advice Centre and will be provided by Citizens Advice Mid Staffordshire.

The new provider will be bringing in a number of improvements, including a switch to an appointments system and more ways of access to the service for customers, including webchat and Skype.

Free digital skills workshops will also be on offer, giving customers the opportunity to gain new skills.

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent VCSE Strategy and Policy Forum - Call for Nominees

Support Staffordshire is now calling for nominees to be members of the Staffordshire and Stoke-On-Trent VCSE Strategy and Policy Forum.

The purpose of the Forum is to provide an opportunity for senior leadership representatives of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to discuss, debate, collaborate, coordinate and, where appropriate, to represent the sector in matters of high level, cross-cutting, strategic and public policy. Support Staffordshire statement re: Citizens Advice Services

On 15 February 2017 Staffordshire County Council decided to cease to fund the Debt, Benefit and Consumer Advice service provided by Staffordshire’s Citizens Advice organisations. The service was originally commissioned to provide free, confidential, impartial and independent, quality marked and accredited information and advice to the public on a wide range of issues including debt, benefits, and consumer information and advice across the county.
