SUPPORT STAFFORDSHIRE (CANNOCK CHASE) BENEFITS FROM MIDCOUNTIES CO-OPERATIVE FUNDING FOR LOCAL CAUSES

Support Staffordshire, a charity in Cannock Chase received a grant of £642, which will go towards funding weekly volunteer centres in Cannock Library. The volunteer centre bureau gives local residents an opportunity to discover a new volunteer opportunity with local groups and charities, which would help to increase skills, develop opportunities, meet likeminded people and do something good for the local community.

Funding Boost for ‘Green’ Community Projects in Lichfield and Cannock Districts

Southern Staffordshire Community Energy (SSCE) Community Fund

Grants up to £2,000 for energy saving, energy audits and general environmental work undertaken by community groups in Lichfield and Cannock Chase districts

Closing date: 15th February 2019

Grants can be made for contribution to the total cost of a project or to fund the whole project. Projectsust start after the 1 March and be completed by the 31 December 2019

Reminder: Deadline Approaching For £18,000 Website Grant Applications

This is a reminder that the deadline is approaching for applications to the Transform Foundation’s Charity Website Grant Programme, with the application window set to close on 14th December.

The programme, which is run by the Transform Foundation, offers £18,000 grants to charities to fund the redevelopment of their website, to ramp up their online income and increase their charitable impact.  It has so far helped charities raise more than £10m in donations.

Applications for the Weston Charity Awards open

Pilotlight and the Garfield Weston Foundation would like to announce that the Weston Charity Awards are now open for applications.

Established to celebrate and support ambitious charities working in the fields of Youth, Welfare and Community, we are looking for charities who would like mentoring and coaching support to get their organisation to the next stage in its development. This year the Awards are will support 20 charities across the North, the Midlands and Wales.

Coalfields community investment programme has reopened for enquiries

January 2019 Committee – The Eligibility survey opens on 24 September and closes on 7 December. The deadline for applications is 14 December.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the 5.5 million people living in Britain’s former mining communities. Many of these communities still require support due to the huge impact the closure of the mines had upon them.

Deadlines Approaching for Tamworth Borough Council Grants – 1 December 2018

Tamworth Borough Council give grants to voluntary organisations to help groups develop. A maximum award of £500 per application can be awarded, although figures exceeding this amount can be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Tamworth Borough Council also support local arts initiatives by providing grants to individuals or groups in Tamworth.

There are also grants available for Community Safety and Sport.
