Through discussions at the Staffordshire Rural Forum Community Themed Action Group, it has been suggested that it could be useful to organise some workshops on the transfer of community assets covering such issues as:
Eleven bids were considered by the Local Action Group on 29 January with most being invited to progress to full application.
It was also decided that the 2nd call would be across all priorities (which include enhancing rural services, and cultural and heritage activity) and would probably go out mid- March with a deadline for bids in May.

In response to the decision announced by East Staffordshire Borough Council to make no voluntary sector grant awards in the coming financial year, the local voluntary sector would like to make the following collective public statement:
Support Staffordshire are pleased to be working with the South West Peak Landscape Partnership. The SWPLP is a group of organisations working to restore, protect, and improve the landscape of the South West Peak.
Community Grants between £200 and £2,000 are available for heritage and environmental projects that benefit the Tame Valley Wetlands area. Local community groups and voluntary groups can apply.
Deadline for applications: 30th June 2016.
