March Staffordshire Moorlands VCSE Forum to be held in Cheadle

The next Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) forum for Staffordshire Moorlands will be held in Cheadle on Tuesday 7 March from 2-4 pm at Cheadle Fire Station. We’re hoping that groups based in the Cheadle area will come along for a chat and to hear about various initiatives in the area, funding opportunities and how Support Staffordshire could help and support your group or any new group.

European Funding Update

As highlighted in the last bulletin, the Government is continuing to process and contract on European funding applications that are in the system, including the stage 2 applications under Building Better Opportunities (BBO). New calls for applications for unallocated funds are likely to be made in the New Year although there will be greater clarity after the publication of the Autumn Statement. Future projects will need to align with national strategic priorities.

European Funding Update

The main European funding streams in Stoke and Staffordshire that are overseen by the Stoke and Staffordshire ESIF (European Strategic Investment Funds) Committee are continuing to be applied to local projects, with contracting of those projects currently going through the application stages still possible up to the point of BREXIT. Not all the earmarked funding has been committed and there are likely to be calls for applications in early 2017. More information on future national priorities is awaited in the Chancellor's Autumn Statement.
