Leek Schools Careers Fair

Following the success of last year’s event, Leek High School and Westwood College are once again holding their Careers Fair at 2.00pm on Thursday 17th October 2019 at Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek, ST13 6DP.

NEW Employment Support Offer

Talent Match Staffordshire now provides employment support to both young people and adults, aged 16 – 30, who are out of work, and live in the Lichfield or Cannock Chase Districts.

Funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), “learners” can access up to 10 weeks of 1-2-1 support and supplementary group sessions to move closer to the workplace.  

1-2-1 support is tailored to meet individual needs and support each “Learner” to achieve their goals.

Support and Supervision of Staff

Who should attend:

This course is aimed at those who are new to supporting or supervising staff or who would like to refresh their skills.

Overview:

Effective support and supervision of staff involves using many skills. This course aims to equip new and existing line managers with all the tools they need. The course will cover the role of supervising, holding one to one meetings including appraisals, how to listen well to staff and provide feedback, how to motivate and dealing with poor performance.

New work club in Stafford

Arch helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, victims of domestice abuse, people suffering from poor mental wellbeing and anyone struggling to maintain their independence or their tenancy.

Free Universal Credit training for organisations in Newcastle

Universal Credit is a payment to help with living costs and will be paid monthly. The payment is being introduced in stages across the UK and will replace the following benefits: Child Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, income Support,   income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and Working Tax Credit. The payment will be introduced into Newcastle under Lyme in October 2018.
