Community transport set to end

In January Lichfield DC began an in depth review of their community transport service, involving member groups, individual users and volunteer drivers in the process.
Through the review, they explored the costs of delivering the service, the usage figures, the sustainability of the service, the need for investment, and whether other providers were better placed to support our customers.
The review recommended the closure of the service at the end of this year.

South Staffordshire Health Centre Joins 'Dementia Friendly' Campaign

A South Staffordshire GP practice has become one of the first in the area to join a campaign to tackle the stigma and lack of understanding around the condition by changing the way people think, act and talk about dementia.

Six members of staff at Lakeside Medical Centre in Church Road, Perton, attended a free one hour information session and have become Dementia Friends - an initiative run by the Alzheimer’s Society.
