Staffordshire County Council Focus Groups

Here at Staffordshire County Council we are working on building a new relationship with the people of Staffordshire. By this we mean helping Staffordshire residents to have more personal responsibility and enable them to help out others in their community.  We have designed a number of ‘asks’ for people within Staffordshire that we hope communities will understand and feel they are able to do in day to day lives, in order to help make Staffordshire an even better place to live.

Community Enabler service - local expressions of interest wanted from organisations in Burton

Could your organisation contribute to a collaborative style approach to improve outcomes for families with dependent children in Burton-upon-Trent?

In East Staffordshire, Staffordshire County Council wish to commission a consortium of providers that will deliver a Community Enabler Service focusing upon the following 4 themes:-

Rural Health and Well-being workshop

Dr Tom Kingstone is a researcher from Keele University. He is currently running an initiative called FRRESH, which stands for the Forum for Rural RESearch on Health & Well-being.

Through FRRESH we aim to bring rural stakeholders (e.g. health and social care workers, voluntary sector organisations, council members, members of the public, academics) together to discuss important health and well-being topics that impact people in rural areas. This discussion can then inform the research that we do.

Your views on our Equality & Inclusion Strategy

The six Clinical Commissioning Groups in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent have been working on compiling a joint Equality and Inclusion Strategy for the next three years. The draft strategy is attached below.

We would very much welcome your feedback on shaping this CCGs’ strategy, from as wide a range of local groups and organisations as possible. We are particularly seeking feedback from seldom heard groups / protected characteristic groups / inclusion health groups and their representatives.

Forthcoming NHS Consultation in North Staffordshire

The Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) of Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire have been working with patients, partners, system leaders and politicians to make sure that the right services are in the right place to meet the health needs of local people. Over the course of the year a great deal of work has been undertaken to develop proposals for community based services wrapped around the patient in an integrated and joined up way.
