This week, Staffordshire County Council have given outline approval for the former Moorgate School on The Leys in Tamworth, to be developed as a Voluntary and Community Hub. Pub is the Hub

Support Staffordshire recently participated in a Pub is the Hub event held by this non-profit making organisation in partnership with Staffordshire County Council. Pub is the Hub provides advice and support to publicans who are interested in adding rural services to their local offer. Examples of rural services in pubs now range from post offices, to community shops, and even libraries. In some villages the pub is the only public space left and the opportunity to host a wider range of facilities is welcomed by many.

Testimonials and Feedback

"Thank you so much for requesting the governing report, we can not wait to be able to join your organisation and have the opportunity to work alongside and share what we do with other Charites. Support Staffordshire is a much needed support for charities as at times it can be a difficult sector especially since COVID-19, thankfully lockdown has eased and we are back out in the community."

This is a joint initiative with Staffordshire Rural Forum and Urban Vision North Staffordshire.

The event also includes an opportunity to hear from other community groups who are in the process or who have undertaken a transfer.
