Victims Champion recognised with Lifetime Achievement Award

This week we were able to catch up with Sonia Evans from Victim Support who won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the recent Stafford and District Volunteer Star Awards organised by Support Staffordshire.  Sonia wasn’t able to receive her award on the night so we arranged for Lin Carter, Director of LSC Nursing and Care Services the main event sponsor and award sponsor, to present the award to Sonia at the LSC offices in Marston Road, Stafford.

The Star of the Show

When Support Staffordshire held its 2019 Volunteer Star Awards at Westwood Golf Club, Leek on 13th June, the winner of the most prestigious award – the Lifetime Achievement Award - was unfortunately absent and the audience had to applaud a photo of her. There was a very good reason for this as the winner, Nancy Coates, was celebrating her 100th birthday that very day!
