Stoke Aiming High - Can your organisation provide activities for disabled children and young people?
Action for Children is lead provider for Stoke Aiming High. We commission a range of providers to provide activities for children and young people aged 0-18 who have SEND needs and have a education and health care plan or a disability as confirmed by a professional.
We are looking to commission additional providers who can contribute to our extensive activity programme which will get up and running during the summer after a long break due to COVID.
Our young people enjoy sport, drama, art, music, art and craft, trips out, specific activities to promote independence skills. Sessions are run after school evenings weekends and very importantly school holidays for between 2 hours and 5 - 6 hours. We are particularly looking for providers who can support young people’s emotional and behavioural needs and personal care as well as proving a fun activity.
Activities need to take place within Stoke-on-Trent or just outside. Where a wider Staffordshire provider is based may not be an issue if they are prepared to rent a space in Stoke-on-Trent (this would be part of the costs we would cover).
