St Mary's Friendship Club
What this organisation does
We meet every fortnight on a Monday lunch time (12:00 - 1:30pm excluding Bank Holidays). Refreshments are provided for a nominal fee and a raffle held to boost funds. Some form of entertainment is held, i.e people come and give talks (a donation is sometimes given, irish bingo played, quizes held, visits by emergency services etc. We also try to provide outings to various places if funding allows, i.e. we pay for the coaches, some people may not be able to afford/ access these trips otherwise. The people attending are mainly elderly and some could be classed as lonely and vulnerable.
