Rosa - Covid 19 Response fund (small grants)

The COVID-19 Response Fund (Small Grants) is provided and administered by Rosa, a grantmaking charity that funds grassroots women’s organisations to help to make the UK a fairer, safer place for women.

The Fund aims to provide quick and straightforward grants to specialist “by, for and with” women’s organisations across the UK to help them meet short-term funding needs and respond to the coronavirus/COVID-19 crisis.

Rosa plans to also provide longer term grant funding of larger amounts at a later point.

Asda Foundation grants

The ASDA Foundation's grants programmes aim to support grassroots charitable organisations working at the heart of its stores' communities. Registered charities, community groups, voluntary organisations and other not-for-profit organisations in the UK can apply for support with initiatives that will make a real long-term difference, benefiting the wider community.

Standard Life Foundation

Grants are available for strategic work, including policy work, campaigning and research, which has the potential to improve financial wellbeing at a national scale in the UK, especially for those on low-to-middle incomes.

There is no minimum or maximum size of grant, but typically grants range between £10,000 and £200,000, with most being between £30,000 and £120,000 in total.

The funding may be spread over one, two or three years, and sometimes shorter periods, for example six months.

  • People Living with Cancer (e.g. Self-help and support groups but not individuals)

All applications are welcome to support people living with and affect by cancer in response to Covid-19, in particular those that are supporting all communities to help overcome the social effects during this time.

Resilience and Recovery Loan Fund

The Resilience and Recovery Loan Fund has been expanded and improved to make more loans to charities and social enterprises affected by the coronavirus pandemic. It offers:

  • Maximum loan amount now £1.5m (minimum still £100k) 
  • Interest-free & fee-free for the first 12 months
  • Faster than applying for a standard loan

COVID-19 digital checklist for charities

The Charity Digital Code of Practice has launched a COVID-19 digital checklist to support charity leaders during this difficult time.

The checklist aims to help charity trustees and leaders make the right digital decisions, evaluate key decisions, assess progress so far and create a consistent understanding of their charity’s digital goals.

The checklist is split into 7 categories which include remote working, fundraising and governance.
