South West Peak Landscape Partnership

Launched in 2017, the South West Peak Landscape Partnership is a group of organisations working together and with volunteers to restore, protect, and improve the landscape of the South West Peak area.

With the Peak District National Park as lead partner and the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund this 5-year partnership (with benefits reaching far beyond that time) works with local communities to build stronger connections with the landscape and with each other.

George Bryan Centre Consultation

The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the conclusion of the exercise to determine the long-term solution for the services previously provided by the George Bryan Centre.

We are now re-starting the process and are holding two engagement events for stakeholders, staff, patients, and members of the public to tell us their views about mental health services and help us to understand what is important to them and what could be improved.

Two volunteers with learning disabilities have won a special award for their work on a pioneering end of life care and bereavement project at St Giles Hospice.

Simon Cox, from Lichfield, and James Channon, from Burton, helped to plan and deliver the “Living, Dying and Remembering: Supporting people with Learning Disabilities” project at St Giles, part of which trained people to discuss issues around end of life care and bereavement with people who have learning disabilities.
