Review of Heritage Lottery Fund

The Department of Culture, Media and Sport is doing a review of Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), partly to decide what HLF’s funding priorities will be in the next cycle (from 2018).  This will include whether they want to continue to fund natural environment projects and the proportion of funding which goes to natural environment projects, which is relatively low compared to historical/ cultural projects.

Contact the Elderley

Contact the Elderly has been bringing friendship to lonely and isolated older people for over 50 years now.  We do this by bringing together small groups of lonely older people and kind hearted volunteers, who meet together each month in a local volunteer’s home, enjoying cups of tea, cakes and sandwiches together in a warm and friendly environment. This free door-to-door service is a vital lifeline of friendship for older people within the community.

Support Staffordshire is now calling for nominees to be members of the Staffordshire and Stoke-On-Trent VCSE Strategy and Policy Forum.

The purpose of the Forum is to provide an opportunity for senior leadership representatives of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to discuss, debate, collaborate, coordinate and, where appropriate, to represent the sector in matters of high level, cross-cutting, strategic and public policy. Support Staffordshire statement re: Citizens Advice Services

On 15 February 2017 Staffordshire County Council decided to cease to fund the Debt, Benefit and Consumer Advice service provided by Staffordshire’s Citizens Advice organisations. The service was originally commissioned to provide free, confidential, impartial and independent, quality marked and accredited information and advice to the public on a wide range of issues including debt, benefits, and consumer information and advice across the county.

NHS Transformation – The EPCC Workstream
