The role of Youth Worker involves: • Supervising and talking to young people; getting to know them and listening to their ideas and any concerns. • Taking part in a range of activities and encouraging the young people to do so. • Learning new skills. • Providing a valuable service to the community. • Working as part of a friendly team and having fun.

Witness Service Court Volunteer Stafford Combined Court - Citizens Advice Witness Service

We are looking for people who are able to give one day per week to support witnesses at Stafford Combined Court. We provide free training and any out of pocket expenses during volunteering.

Trustee - Lichfield Christian Schools Work Trust

The Trust has undergone several changes in its 25 years which, gratefully, have always provided us with new opportunities for growth and development. As we anticipate more upcoming changes there is an opportunity to invite additional people to the role of Trustee with LCSWT. Trustees safeguard the aims and purpose of the Trust as well as overseeing its decision making. We believe we are making a difference in the lives of young people in Lichfield and would like to continue to do that with your help.

Meet and welcome clients and give out food parcels. Have an informal chat with clients over a cup of tea, to discuss their situation and signpost to further support. Receive vouchers and prepare food parcels. This role would be around 3-4 hours per week.

Foodbank Drivers - Pye Green Christian Centre

Volunteer drivers will be asked to collect regular food orders from the Foodbank warehouse in Chadsmoor and deliver to our distribution centres around Cannock and surrounding areas. Ideally, we would like volunteers to commit to 1 shift every week, on either a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday morning for a few hours. You would be using a van that belongs to the foodbank and you will need to be able to transport and lift crates of food up to 20kg. Currently, we are looking for more Foodbank drivers to help with the changes to our processes caused by COVID-19.
