Support Staffordshire Connectors - Staffordshire Moorlands

Tue 29 Jan 2019

Would you like to try something new; learn some new skills?

Are you a people person?

Do you like to help and meet people?

Do you have some spare time?

Are you passionate about your community?

If you have answered yes to all of these we think you’d be great as a Community Connector in your area of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

You are probably also the sort of person who likes to keep up to date with what’s available/happening within your local community.

A Community Connector’s role can involve all of the following, but also may only be one of these:

  1. Support groups to work together & share resources
  2. Support groups to access funding
  3. Assist local committees to set up and run
  4. Promote and encourage volunteering and signpost people to the Volunteer Centre

Support Staffordshire will provide an induction programme with free training and ongoing support for you to be our eyes, ears and local ‘go to’ advisers on the ground.  You will be supported by a Locality Officer in your area and have Support Staffordshire’s considerable bank of factsheets, templates and advice available to you; the hours you offer are to suit your availability, but would ideally be half a day per week as a minimum.

If you are interested in becoming a Community Connector and would like to find out more or attend a free training session please contact:
