Success of first village hall network meeting

Thu 7 Feb 2019

The first Support Staffordshire Village Hall Network meeting was recently held at Stowe-by-Chartley Village Hall and attracted almost 50 people from 33 different village halls around Staffordshire to take part.

Focusing on energy savings, as part of the Big Energy Savings Week, participants listened to a variety of speakers, including Peter Turner of Brown Edge Village Hall and William Campbell of Utility Aid, to get some practical advice. It was a great opportunity to share experiences, develop ideas, ask questions and find out more. With sponsorship from local charity Beat the Cold as well as from Utility Aid, there was plenty of coffee and cake on offer to lubricate the many conversations that took place during the afternoon as people embraced the chance to network with enthusiasm.

More village hall network meetings are planned by Support Staffordshire. To make sure your village hall is included, check that it has joined membership of Support Staffordshire.
