Staffordshire Observatory is a data base run by the Insight team, on behalf of Staffordshire County Council.

For the latest information email the Staffordshire Observatory at observatory@staffordshire.gov.uk or call Staffordshire County Council on 0300 111 8000.

Staffordshire Observatory provides access to information and research about Staffordshire and its communities. One of the key functions of the website is to act as a 'one stop shop' for access to a wide range of information that has been compiled into useful profiles for Staffordshire as a whole and for each locality area.

The Observatory team aim to make a difference by providing useful, high quality and appropriate supporting evidence for your grant application, targeting marketing or future policy planning.  Up to date, detailed information about Staffordshire’s people and places is collated and presented in easy-to-read documents and spreadsheets.

The publications have been split into four broad sub-sections:

  • Economy and Aspirations,
  • Health and Wellbeing,
  • Community Safety,
  • The Staffordshire Story.

The Data section allows you to access the datasets, dashboards and area profiles, which are split up into themes for your convenience. If you know what you are looking for then you can use the data or area profile searches on the home page to look them up straight away.

The best way to find out about what’s happening with the Staffordshire Observatory is to follow us on twitter; @Sobservatory Not only will it inform you of updates and new reports but also provide interesting facts and stories from across the web.
