Staffordshire County Council Drug and Alcohol Tender

Wed 6 Mar 2019

Support Staffordshire, as part of the Team Staffordshire consortia, is calling out to any of its members who may be interested in working with others as part of the new Drug and Alcohol Service, that is about to be tendered by the county council.

The detail of the new service will be available later this month via the council’s online e-tendering portal – Proactis; you will need to sign up for your own account to see it in full.

The service is expected to be delivered through one large prime contract, bringing together all of the current services that the council invests in. It will therefore be a large (million pound plus annually) contract over a 7 year term and difficult for most VCSEs to consider on their own.

Support Staffordshire is keen to ensure that opportunities for VCSE involvement are not missed as a result, so is asking Voluntary groups to put their names forward if they have a genuine interest in this work. If you are interested in Drug and Alcohol support or related mental health, housing or employability issues, you can let garry.jones@supportstaffordshire.org.uk know, and he will add you to our communications for this developing area of work.

You are also encouraged to register your interest directly via the council’s online portal.
