STAFFORD: Boscobel House Farm Animal Care Volunteer

Want to muck in and muck out? We are looking for volunteers to join our brand new Victorian farm animal care team. Get involved and help us care for our collection of rare breed poultry (various chicken and Indian Runner ducks), Tamworth pigs and Coloured Ryeland and Shropshire sheep.

WHAT ARE ENGLISH HERITAGE - BOSCOBEL HOUSE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for people with a friendly, enthusiastic manner and enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. Some farm animal husbandry experience would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. You’ll need to be happy to muck out and get your hands dirty!

PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS

VOLUNTEERS MAY BE REIMBURSED FOR REASONABLE LOCAL TRAVEL COSTS BETWEEN HOME AND VOLUNTEERING LOCATION



A VOLUNTEER PASS ALLOWING FREE ACCESS TO ENGLISH HERITAGE SITES IS AVAILABLE AFTER THE COMPLETION OF FOUR MONTHS AND 60 HOURS OF VOLUNTEERING



A CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR PERSONAL PROFILE TO DEMONSTRATE WORK CARRIED OUT FOR ENGLISH HERITAGE IS AVAILABLE TO SHOW FUTURE EMPLOYERS OR FURTHER EDUCATION PROVIDERS.



VOLUNTEERS WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH AN APPROPRIATE ENGLISH HERITAGE UNIFORM.



CORE TRAINING AND ROLE SPECIFIC TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN.
