South Staffordshire Network for Mental Health - Stafford Toolbox Project
Thu 11 Aug 2016
Announcement from the SSNMH:-
South Staffordshire Network for Mental Health's Toolbox Project has been especially designed for your clients at risk of developing mental illness. They are supported by Stafford Borough Council and Staffordshire Public Health to ensure the people using your services get support to help them deal with issues that might be impacting on their emotional wellbeing.
It’s not just a sign posting service – it’s an effective way of demonstrating your clients can do more for themselves with a bit of know-how, know-who and confidence to do so.
We have a limited number of Toolbox places left before this project closes in September 2016, so please act quickly in sharing this flyer and referral form with your colleagues, teams and clients.
Just to give you some insight into the great things said about the Toolbox previously:
- ''I've so enjoyed doing the Toolbox assessment. Learning about the support services. Knowing I can do things for myself” – Client
- ''It's put things into perspective for me'' – Client
- ''Awareness about myself- realising things I hadn’t done before” – Client
- “A number of the clients have mental health illnesses, the majority being too low level for referral to crisis or community mental health teams. We have found for these people’s needs that the SSMHN toolbox and the staff involved have been extremely useful. We know the clients are being offered a service that will apply to them and feel confident their needs will be met and we can therefore remove them from our meeting’s next agenda.” - Lichfield Partnership Manager, Staffordshire Police, Chair of the Vulnerabilities Meeting for the Community Safety
