Shoebox Theatre - Open invitation

Wed 5 Aug 2015

Jane Williams, a professional actress and teacher, is currently working with a community interest theatre group called Shoebox Theatre. They are based in Tamworth but are hoping to extend their activities to the Lichfield area.

Shoebox Theatre offer drama based activities to local people who might enjoy the opportunity to participate in creative projects. Jane's role is to encourage and support these people in being able to realise their ideas. This could take the form of a single session or a series of sessions which may result in a finished product/performance. Everything is flexible and based on the wishes of the participants.

Shoebox Theatre charge £30 for an hour's session. Some organisations are able, and wish to, self fund. Others require external funding support and Shoebox Theatre is able to apply for this on their behalf.

Jane is happy to visit any organisation or group of people who think they might like to find out more about Shoebox Theatre and what they can offer. This initial visit is free of charge, with no commitment to take things further if it was felt that working with Shoebox was not for them at the moment.

Shoebox Theatre is funded by The Big Lottery, and supported by Tamworth Borough Council and the Staffordshire Community Foundation.

Please visit their website for further information.
