School Crossing Patrol Consultation

Wed 12 Dec 2018

Due to unprecedented financial challenges, the county council is facing some very difficult decisions about the non-statutory services it can continue to fund.  With a £35 million gap in our budget a number of proposals are reluctantly being considered, including the funding of the School Crossing Patrol service after September 2019.

We recognise that School Crossing Patrols are hugely valued by schools, parents and children. That’s why we want to hear from you if you have views on usage of the patrols and the possible impacts of change to the groups/people you represent. Also if you have ideas on how posts could be funded in the future and whether you have any other suggestions for improving travel to school, such as expanding walking buses.

We will be gathering views until December 31, 2018. If you would like to find out more and have your say, please visiting the link below.
