Reed in Partnership employment support in Stoke and Staffordshire

Fri 14 Oct 2016

Reed in Partnership has recently been successful in its application for European funding (European Social Fund) under the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) stream of employment support activity for Stoke and Staffordshire. From the end of November, Reed and its delivery partners will have key workers on the ground helping the unemployed and those who are inactive to find work and to stay in those jobs. Specifically the following organisations will be delivering the contract in these areas:

  • North Staffs/ Stoke - Reed
  • Cannock - APN
  • Stoke (part)/ Moorlands - Groundwork
  • Newcastle - PM Training
  • East Staffs/ Stafford (part) - Standguide
  • Lichfield/ South Staffs/Stafford (part) - the Housing Consortium

If you provide support or activity to people who are not in work, you may be approached by one of these deliverers to offer that support to one of their members (the contract name for participants or service users). To prepare for this you may find it helpful to set out that offer, detailing what you would provide and how much it would cost per client, and brief your front line staff/ volunteers accordingly so that you are ready to help when asked.

Reed is also planning to bid for the new Work and Health programme, the framework for which is due to be published in October. There is a portal on their web site for organisations to submit an expression of interest - www.reedinpartnership.co.uk Other companies will also be planning to tender for this contract in Stoke and Staffordshire so look out for details coming out, if you are interested.
