Project Pigsty, a community project in Lichfield, are requesting assistance from the community in raising money for building materials:-

'My name is Annamarie and I would like to ask for your help in completing Project Pigsty a community building with a difference. We are not looking for bells and whistles, we are looking for warm and welcoming.

Project Pigsty started a few years ago when we agreed to host a care farming project, care farming is therapeutic activities using animals, plants and the countryside for the benefit of people recovering from mental ill health. The photo shows visitors a couple of years ago enjoying tea and cake. Since this picture we have doubled the space and fitted a donated kitchen all thanks volunteers and Andrew my husband (pictured).Photo of a meeting at Project Pigsty

Project Pigsty needs your help to purchase all building materials to give our community building a new roof and insulated floor all building work a part from essential technical work will be done by volunteers.'

The project is aiming to raise £15,000. If you would like to donate to Project Pigsty you can do so via their Crowdfunding page. Donations can be pledged until 9 March 2016
