New Local Nursery and Local Police Scrutiny

Mon 20 Apr 2015

We’ve been busy working with Little Treasures Nursery and Entrust to secure a new early years nursery in Cannock, based at Support Staffordshire premises, Coniston Hall in Chadsmoor. Entrust provided a grant to the Nursery for the necessary upgrade of building work and this is now almost finished.

Ofsted are expected to visit during April to confirm that the nursery can commence their service with expected opening during late April for 2-4 year olds.

The closure of two other nurseries in the area of Chadsmoor has left little or no provision for young children and families. The nursery will be open between 8.30 and 12 noon each weekday during school terms.

If you know of families seeking a nursery contact Little Treasures on little.treasures@btconnect.com or call 01785 711025

In other news, Support Staffordshire is working with Cannock Chase District Council and Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner to recruit local members to the Safer Neighbourhood Panel. The aim of the panel is to scrutinise policing at a local level and to be part of the Police Commissioners pledge to make Staffordshire the most open and transparent police force in the country. Initial meetings have been held and this is progressing well. For more information contact janmatthews@chase-cvs.org.uk
