More Places of Welcome venues for Burton town centre

Wed 10 Jul 2019

Burton is becoming an even more Welcoming Place!

Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute. Anybody can pop along to their local Place of Welcome and will be guaranteed a warm welcome, free hospitality and the opportunity to make friends in the local community.

Since the article in the April ebulletin:

In addition to the four Places of Welcome already up and running in Burton we are pleased to introduce two new Places of Welcome and another coming soon to Burton Town Centre.

Our new additions are:

  • The Burton Caribbean Association opened its doors as a Place of Welcome on 29th May and is delighted to welcome guests on Wednesdays between 11am and 1pm
  • CoCo (Compassionate Communities of Burton), began welcoming people on 24th June and runs its Place of Welcome session on Mondays 1.30pm – 3.30pm

And Coming Soon……

  • Summerhouse Bakery in the Market hall in Burton Town Centre will become the latest addition to the growing hospitality of Places of Welcome.

We look forward to them opening their doors at the end of this month!   Opening day and times to be announced soon.

Places of Welcome are open at the same time every week.

Further details of each location can be found on the Places of Welcome website www.placesofwelcome.org.uk
