Voting is open for the Calor Rural Community Fund

From sports club showers to adventure playgrounds, from musical instruments to new kitchens, from books to village hall heating, the Rural Community Fund has helped hundreds of people living in rural communities across the UK.

And this year they have so more community projects competing for funding. Voting is open until 17th June so it’s your chance to support projects to get them through to the finals.

Make your views heard on the future of health and care locally

The Together We’re Better partnership is launching a 12-week public and workforce conversation across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to listen and understand what is important to you about health and care locally, what works well and what you think should be improved.

As a partner in Together We’re Better, we are working alongside NHS organisations, local authorities, Healthwatch and voluntary and community sector groups to achieve a joint vision of ‘working with you to make Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent the healthiest places to live and work’.

Pathway Project Presents - Cream Tea with Nell Gwynne at Tutbury Castle

For their next event, Pathway Patrons are proud to present the fabulous Lesley Smith who is kindly hosting a fundraising Cream Tea at the amazing Tutbury Castle, Castle St, Tutbury, Staffs, DE13 9JF on Sunday 23 June 2019 2pm-4pm. She is entertaining us with her unique portrayal of Nell Gwynne, a prolific celebrity figure of the Restoration period. Praised by Samuel Pepys for her comic performances as one of the first actresses on the English stage, she became best known for being a long-time mistress of King Charles II of England and Scotland.

Kaleidoscope Choir invite you to their next concert

Kaleidoscope is a female voice choir which aims to promote and foster a love of singing within the community and aid selected charities wherever possible.

They are currently preparing for their next concert, which is fundraising for Myeloma UK.  The concert is taking place on Saturday 15th June 2019 at Elford Village Hall, stating at 7:30pm.

Stop Loan Sharks Community Funding

The England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) has funding available for groups that want to raise awareness of hte issues of illegal money lending.  The money available has come from the proceeds of crime taken from convicted illegal money lenders.

The aim of the funding is to give groups the opportunity to raise awareness of the issue, in their community in a different way.

Macmillan Health and Wellbeing Days

Macmillan Cancer Support are holding Health and Wellbeing Days at Pride Park stadium in Derby and Pirelli Stadium in Burton on Trent. The days in June, September and December are for anyone affected by cancer and will include sessions on Mindfulness, financial/benefits and healthy lifestyles.

Lichfield District Safer Community Partnership - Small Projects Fund

The Small Projects Fund is a small grants scheme offered by the Lichfield District Safer Community Partnership with funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner.  We are looking to fund small scale projects which help support the delivery of our Community Safety Delivery Plan.  Projects should promote community involvement, develop stronger communities and demonstrate a problem solving approach to reducing crime and disorder and the fear of crime.
