‘Transforming the Trent Valley’ awarded £2.7 million National Lottery Funding

A revitalised landscape of wildlife-rich waterways and wetlands is being made possible thanks to the ‘Transforming the Trent Valley’ project successfully securing a grant of £2.7m from the National Lottery.

The ‘Transforming the Trent Valley’ (TTTV) project is a partnership of 18 organisations working together to restore and enhance the natural and cultural heritage of the Trent Valley, with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust - the county’s largest nature conservation charity - at the helm.

SURVEY ‘Your Council Supporting Your Place and Your Communities’

South Staffordshire Council are pulling together up-to-date data and statistics for the district such as economic data, health data, education etc., all of which will be used to inform our Locality Profile (Locality Profile 2018 is on the Council’s website) and it will be very useful to know if any voluntary and community sector organisations/groups are supporting our residents in areas relating to this data e.g. health support, debt/financial support, education/upskilling, family support, employment support etc.

NEWS from Sherratts Wood CIC

Sherratts Wood has been in business for 9 years and we welcome customers from all over the county to our three sites. Sherratts Wood CIC offer services to individuals at the farm site, Burton-on-Trent or Lichfield with each setting offering different opportunities. We support individuals with learning disabilities, mental health disorders physical disabilities, Dementia and Alzheimer’s or individuals who have suffered with brain injuries. Individuals can choose to join us from 16 years of age with our oldest customer’s being in their 70’s.

Health consultation in North Staffordshire

There is a revised date for a specific voluntary sector consultation session being held on the proposals for the future of health services in North Staffordshire. It was due to be held on Monday 14th January but this has now been rearranged for Tuesday 26th February from 10am to 12pm at he Dudson Centre, Hope Street, Stoke on Trent, ST1 5DD. 

The governing bodies for North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent CCGs approved the consultation plans before Christmas and opened the consultation period on Monday 10th December to run for 14 weeks.
