Family members or friends who support someone with a disability or long term health condition will soon be able to benefit from a new Carers Café in Wombourne facilitated by CASS The Carers Association. The Carers Café will launch on Wednesday 13th of March 2019 at the Civic Centre in Wombourne, Gravel Hill, Wolverhampton, Wombourne, West Midlands WV5 9HA from 10:30am until 12:30pm.

Success of first village hall network meeting

European Funding

Contrary to what you might think, funding from the European Commission is still being allocated to projects in Stoke and Staffordshire through the LEP's ESIF Committee. There is likely to be a final set of calls for bids under most of the priorities in April/ May with the Government guaranteeing to honour commitments up to December 2023.

Volunteer for Contact the Elderly

Contact the Elderly is looking for volunteers to support their activities in Stoke-on-Trent.

Contact the Elderly is the national charity dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation amongst older people living in the United Kingdom. Their mission is to empower older people to make new social connections, and break out of the cycle of social isolation. Supported by a nationwide network of over 11,000 volunteers, Contact the Elderly organises free monthly social events for small groups of isolated older people through their local groups.

Arch helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, victims of domestice abuse, people suffering from poor mental wellbeing and anyone struggling to maintain their independence or their tenancy.

Burton upon Trent Child Contact Centre launch new website and appoint new Coordinator

Burton upon Trent Child Contact Centre, in East Staffordshire, provides the facility for a Contact Centre, serving the local and wider community. 

They have recently launched a new website:  www.burtonontrentccc.org.uk 

The Centre is a safe, friendly and impartial place where children can meet with their parent (or other family members) with whom they no longer live with following their parents’ relationship breakdown.

They also welcome to their team as the new Co-ordinator, Paul Mills.
