Festive Grants for community groups return to spread Christmas cheer in Tamworth

Councillors are hoping to spread some festive cheer again this year by handing out cash to support events, schemes or special projects that bring Tamworth residents together during the Christmas period.

The Festive Grants scheme is a pot of £3,000 cash waiting to be divided between voluntary or community groups in each of the borough’s 10 electoral wards, towards projects which boost community spirit and tackle loneliness.

Your Chance to Apply for share of £2000 grant pot

An historic Tamworth charity fund which was set up to help improve the lives of residents is inviting individuals and organisations to apply for a share of this year’s £2,000 pot.

Tamworth Borough Council has run Tamworth Municipal Charities since 1868. It was established by philanthropists who wanted to help relieve financial hardship for local people at a time when state assistance was non-existent.

HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) Grants Programme 2020-22

One-off grants are available for voluntary sector organisations for the piloting of new services and approaches or the extension of current programmes that support offender rehabilitation.

Grants of between £50,000 and £250,000 are available over two years (between April 2020 and March 2022).

Voluntary organisations can apply for funding. They should be a registered charity, an exempt charity or a social enterprise.

Community Grants to Transform the Trent Valley awarded

The Transforming the Trent Valley (TTTV) Landscape Partnership Scheme is pleased to announce the first successful applications to our Community Grants scheme funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Four organisations providing opportunities within the scheme area have between them been awarded a total of £5,750 in the first round of applications.
Our congratulations go to FISH 2013 who have been awarded £975 to support four angling taster days to promote the sport of fishing on the River Trent at Burton Upon Trent.
