Family Fund - Your Opportunity

Applications on a first come, first served basis until the funding is fully allocated


Family Fund are currently running a small grant programme called 'Your Opportunity' that supports disabled and seriously ill young people aged 18-24 years old who are living at home.

Some of this things they can fund include Digital / Computer Equipment, Transport grant, College Starter or Vocational grant, These are some examples there are many things they would consider.

YMCA Burton awarded National Lottery Community grant funding

YMCA Burton are thrilled to have received £114,000 funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund. This has helped us to secure our provision of essential support services, prepare all our sites to comply with current regulations and to provide equipment for our clients to keep in contact with others, access our online services and support positive wellbeing.  Thanks to the Government for making this possible

Neighbourhood Planning Grants and Support Programme

Expressions of Interest can be made at any time


Grants and technical support are available for town and parish councils, neighbourhood forums and prospective neighbourhood forums to draw up a neighbourhood plan or neighbourhood development order in England.

The Government has allocated over £30 million between 2018 - 2022 to support the development of neighbourhood plans or neighbourhood development orders.

The Phoenix Fund - Emergency grants to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities

Deadlines for applications are: 21 August, 2 September, 16 September, and 30 September 2020


The Phoenix Fund has been set up by the National Lottery Community Fund with £1.4 million in Lottery funding and the Global Fund for Children who is managing the Fund.

The Fund will provide £1 million in emergency grants to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities across England. The £400,000 is to be used to further develop the fund.

Ok so its starting to wear a bit isn’t it now? We are all a little weary for sure. We need a break (PLEASE get one, as we need you all refreshed for what lies ahead) and we are all wanting to get back to seeing our friends and colleagues, I mean really see them. They have a specific section on this page which outlines updated guidance on annual leave and furlough which is worth reviewing, especially as legislation changes around the carrying over of annual leave and what to do if furloughed employees take/took annual leave.

The Coalfields Food Insecurity Response Fund

The Coalfields Food Insecurity Response Fund is a new fund to tackle food poverty. We have seen a significant rise over recent years in the coalfields of the number of projects providing food to those who cannot afford it. The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated this problem with more people being referred to food banks, and tens of thousands of children skipping meals due to family income being too low.
