Join the Police Misconduct Panel and earn £211.50 per day
Wed 12 Oct 2016
As a police authority we are required by law to provide independent members of the public to support disciplinary hearings where a police officer has been accused of misconduct/gross misconduct. There are no qualifications required or previous experience needed.
As such we are approaching and inviting community groups, and other volunteer organisations to share the attached poster to those who live or operate in Staffordshire.
Full details can also be gained from the website.
This is not a paid or salaried role, however, a daily tribunal fee of £211.50 is payable. We hold 15-20 hearings a year, and most are of 1-2 days in length, some more serious cases will last up to 10 days. There is no obligation to attend any, or a minimum term required. We only require one day for training. Panel members will then be called on. We are recruiting up to 10 panel members.
