Staffordshire Victim Gateway has a vacancy for a Support Worker (Ref: SW). This organisation is a new and exciting service commissioned by Staffordshire’s Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and delivered by Citizens Advice.

The service provides information, advice or practical and emotional support to victims of crime to help them cope and recover from their experience, even if they have not reported the crime to the Police.

The successful candidate will manage both their own support caseload and when required assist the Service Coordinator in the supervision of the Gateway Assessment Team and any volunteers attached to the service.  

The position is ideal for anyone with previous experience of supporting female victims of domestic or sexual violence who wishes to be engaged in providing direct support to clients whilst developing their supervision skills.

Hours:  22.5 hours a week are available at the Newcastle-upon-Lyme Office and 18.75 hours per week at the Burton Office. 

The service Operates 7 days a week and there is an expectation that you will work some evenings and weekends (Weekends are Newcastle only)

Starting Salary:   £20,253 p.a. (full time) £12,152 p.a. (pro rata 22.5 hours)

                              £10,126 p.a. (pro rata 18.75 hours)
