Cold weather fund for frontline organisations

Grants are available to support local frontline providers in helping people sleeping rough off the streets this winter

Grants of between £5,000 and £25,000 are available.

Larger grants of up to £50,000 may be considered for projects working across multiple authorities

National Garden Scheme Community Gardening Funding

Grants of up to £5000 are available to amateur gardeners from community groups to create a garden or similar project with horticultural focus for the benefit of their local community.

The funding is for the creation of a garden or a similar project (such as an allotment) with horticultural focus for the benefit of the local community.

The project should aim to bring a community together by creating a space people can share, by the acquisition and sharing of gardening knowledge and skills and by inspiring a love of gardening.

Wonderful Villages Photo Competition

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent set to introduce One Health and Care electronic integrated care records

Patients’ health and care records in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent will soon be available electronically to authorised health and social care practitioners.

It will mean a doctor in a hospital, or a paramedic who attends a 999 call will be able to access the same crucial information as a GP, such as details of allergies and current medications, bringing potentially life-saving benefits.

Trust in Charities and why the Charity Commission is so off the mark

In recent weeks there has been another raft of critical opinion from the Charity Commission, largely via its Chair, Baroness Tina Stowell. It hopefully passed you by and doesn’t affect your opinion of charities or indeed your own organisational self-esteem too much. To expand on my Twitter comments @suschief I want to say a few words here about why this is a poor strategy by the Commission, poor execution and totally misses the mark.

Team Musk from Swadlincote and Vodafone Burton Sign-up for YMCA Burton Sleepout 2019

Musk Process Services in Swadlincote have signed up for the Sleepout on 8th November for YMCA Burton. This will be the first time taking part for all the participants.

The team will be split with half spending the evening at Pirelli Stadium (Musk Sleeping Beauties) and the other half going extreme and joining others in the graveyard (Musk Die-hards). All members taking part in a bid to raise money for the Charity in Burton-on-Trent.
