Together We're Better - October Workshops

You may have attended and supported the events in the recent Together We’re Better 12-week listening exercise. The feedback is now being analysed and a Report of Findings is being produced. The final version will be reviewed by the CCG Governing Bodies in the Autumn.

Last decisions made on Staffordshire LEADER programme

The Staffordshire LEADER Local Action Group met for the last time on Monday (23rd September) in the beautiful; surroundings of the restored Ingestre Orangery. Over the last few years the group has awarded almost £2 Million of European Union funding to help over 60 farm and rural tourism business and non-profit making organisations to support jobs and growth in Staffordshire.

Road Safety Trust grant funding

Grants are available to public and professional UK-based organisations for activities that will reduce the risk of death and injury for all road users.

There are two levels of grants available:

  • Major themed grants of up to £200,000 are available over a period of up to three years
  • Small grants programme offers funding of between £10,000 to £30,000 over a two-year period.

The application deadline for the small grants programme is 20 December 2019.

Applications for the major themed grants open between February and May 2020.

National Churches Trust - Gateway Grants Programme 2019-2023

Grants are available for listed and unlisted Christian places of worship of any denomination in the UK to support developing a church building project.

Grants of between £3,000 and £10,000 are available.

The National Churches Trust supports church and chapel buildings open for worship throughout the UK. It funds urgent repairs and modernisation, provides expert advice on church maintenance and on how churches can continue to serve local communities and promote church heritage and tourism.

Coalfields Community Investment Programme for England

Grants are available to voluntary and community organisations for projects taking place in the top 30% most deprived coalfield communities in England and will make a positive difference in addressing the areas of skills, employment, health and wellbeing.

Grants of between £500 and £10,000 are available.

The Trust will now fund Core Costs up to 50% of the total costs requested from the Trust. This can include Operational Costs and Administration and Management.

East Staffordshire Voluntary Car scheme

East Staffordshire Voluntary Car Scheme provides a service to help the elderly and those living in East Staffordshire who are unable to use public transport to make those essential journeys.

Volunteer drivers, using their own cars, offer a door to door service and will wait up to 90 minutes for the return journey.

Patient Experience Survey – Anticoagulation Services

Anticoagulation Services are provided in a primary care setting or in the Acute Hospitals.

The six Staffordshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) would like to gather the views of service users to understand the expectations from existing services and to find out what is important to you when accessing anticoagulation services in a Staffordshire primary care setting or hospital.

We are particularly targeting patients and their family / carers, with experience in this area of service provision.
