Power to Change launches up to £12 million of emergency support

Power to Change, the independent trust that supports community businesses in England, is launching up to £12 million of emergency support to provide both immediate and medium-term help for community businesses facing a loss of trading income during the coronavirus crisis.

The crisis has highlighted the vital role that community businesses play in reviving local assets, protecting the services that people rely on, and addressing local needs.

Together We're Better Coronavirus Support and Materials

As we enter week six of lockdown, we are very aware that the coronavirus has been an unusual time for most people and has been distressing for many. People have been unable to see friends and family face-to-face and others are struggling with isolation, having been instructed by the government to shield/self-isolate for at least 12-weeks and not leave their homes.

Local response to Coronavirus Emergency: Support for Vulnerable Residents Living in Cannock Chase District

There is a wide range of support available to local people – much of this within the voluntary and community sector, with national and local public sector support being implemented alongside this. 

The established Cannock and Rugeley foodbanks have been very busy. There has been extensive small, locally based and individual neighbourhood support to family, friends and neighbours. Cannock Chase is also benefitting from the establishment of a comprehensive (and growing) range of services offered from volunteers working through the Chase Coronavirus Support Network (CCSN).

NAVCA - Carry on Campaigning
