Empowering Individuals on the Autistic Spectrum - Befriending Project

Lifeworks Staffordshire is a registered charity supporting people aged 14+ with High Functioning Autistic Spectrum Conditions in North Staffordshire. Some of our people struggle with social interaction and are very isolated affecting confidence and making daily tasks difficult.

Burton African Cultural Association Celebrate Eid

The Burton African Cultural Association held their Eid celebration at the Burton Caribbean Association on Sunday the 11th of August 2019. 

The aim of Burton African Cultural Association is to establish, promote and share their culture with the community of Burton-upon-Trent.  They came together to celebrate Eid as a community and to educate children about the culture and what it means to celebrate Eid.

It was a wonderful and well attended event which was enjoyed by all.

The Together We're Better Listening Events

"The Together We're Better, Staffordshire Health and Care Partnership has been out and about across the county listening to local people's feedback about their experiences of health and care services and how they could be improved.

Two webinars have been organised to offer an opportunity to people who could not attend our listening events to share their views. The webinars will include an expert panel, live discussions and an opportunity to ask questions.

Having good governance provides direction and supervision, whilst ensuring effectiveness and accountability for an organisation.

Direction. If you know where you’re going it’s much easier to get there.  The board should have the capacity to set the strategy and overall direction; providing leadership for everyone in the organisation.
