Update from ESIF Committee

The Stoke and Staffordshire LEP ESIF (European Structural and Investment Funds) Committee next meets on 18th November. An update will be given after that meeting. There are currently two open calls for ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) for the Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire LEP due in by 8th January 2016 on business support and tourism. More information can be found on www.gov.uk/european-structural-investment-funds Similarly there is an open call for business support for the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP.  

 

Building Better Opportunities (BBO)

The bidding process for BBO is now open with a deadline for bids of 30th November 2015. More information can be found on www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/global-content/programmes/england/building-better-opportunities

Staffordshire and Stoke has been split into 3 areas with separate bids required for each:

  • Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands
  • Stafford and South Staffordshire
  • Tamworth, Cannock, Lichfield and East Staffordshire

Support Staffordshire is part of the local VCSE consortium called Team Staffordshire. Over 90 organisations have submitted expressions of interest (EOI) to be part of the Team Staffordshire bids. The team is currently going through all the EOIs and putting together the bids. If anyone has not submitted an EOI to Team Staffordshire but would like to be involved, contact Steve Adams at Staffordshire Community Foundation on steve.adams@staffsfoundation.org.uk  

 

ESF Partnership with Staffordshire County Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council on NEETs

The two local authorities have been holding workshops for the VCSE sector to develop ideas for supporting NEETs under the new ESF programmes. If you have not managed to take part but would like to be involved contact David O'Connell at Stoke City Council david.oconnell@stoke.gov.uk
