What fantastic news!
Congratulations to all the members of the Village Hall Committee for all their hard work (special thanks to Sue Wadham, Pat Green & Pat Moore).
Matt Poole, Senior Head of Regional Funding for the Midlands at The National Lottery Community Fund, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the Clifton Campville Village Hall project, thanks to National Lottery players. Many of the projects we have funded this quarter are focussed on bringing those communities together and enabling people to make new connections. With their ideas, knowledge and passion. This money changes lives.”
Gillian French, Biffa Award Head of Grants, said: “At Biffa Award we are proud to support projects which bring together people who wouldn’t usually get the chance to meet. Projects like this are brilliant at providing the infrastructure that enables communities to thrive.”
The management committee are very excited about the future & establishing a community facility which will be inclusive for all villagers – young & older – to enjoy the space specifically designed for the weekly Coffee Shop, Whist Drive, Yoga & Craft Club, as well as many new events, together with very successful themed-meal evenings!
They have reached their build funding target -but still need continued support whilst at their temporary home of Haunton Church Hall. They need to accumulate funds to buy new chairs and freezer etc, so you can still help & be a part of this historic community’s fundraising efforts.
