National Memorial Arboretum February 2021 Update

Together We're Better Stakeholder Update - 5th February

As many of you will know, Together We’re Better is one of many Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) across the country. It is a partnership of NHS and local authority, working alongside the voluntary and third sector to improve local health and care services. There is a national mandate for STPs to evolve into Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) by April 2021.

MHA Communities Lichfield & MHA Communities Burntwood, formally Live at Home, merged on 01 Feb 2021 to create MHA Communities South Staffs.

There will be a transitional period as we update key contacts such as yourselves and complete some practical aspects but we anticipate the merger, including an office move for the existing Lichfield scheme into a shared office at the Old Mining College in Burntwood, to be completed as of 01 April 2021.

State of the Sector Report 2021

The report shows the local sector has a turnover of more than £112M, employs almost 8,000 people, and engages over 50,000 volunteers worth another £90M.

Rebalancing the relationship: Final report

A new report from NCVO, ACEVO and Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales highlights ways in which larger and smaller voluntary organisations can support each other in the competitive commissioning environment and collaborate to achieve greater impact for the communities they serve.

Rebalancing the Relationship is the result of an 18-month research project that collected evidence of good and bad collaborative practice from over 200 larger and smaller charities.

Information Commissioner’s Office Grants Programme

Application Deadline: 11 March 2021

Grants are available for academic institutions, civil society groups, trade and industry associations and organisations to support independent research into privacy and data protection issues and develop privacy enhancing solutions.

Grants of between £20,000 and £100,000 are available.

An estimated budget of £250,000 will be available each year (subject to an annual review). Additional funds may be made available in exceptional circumstances where existing demand and budget allow.

Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust

Grants are available to UK registered charities for projects that address specific categories set out by the Trust each year.

The Trust awards grants of either £1,000 or £5,000 depending on the grant round:

Round 1 - £1,000

Round 2 - £5,000

Round 3 - £1,000

Round 4 - £5,000

The level of grant awarded is determined by the income of the charity:

Grants of £1,000 are available for charities with an operating income of between £100,000 and £1 million.

Archives Revealed - Cataloguing Grants

Application Deadline: 11 March 2021

Grants are available to public sector bodies, registered charities and other not-for-profit organisations in the UK to create catalogues of important archival collections.

Grants of up to £45,000 are available.

Archives Revealed is a funding programme from The National Archives and The Pilgrim Trust which supports the cataloguing of archive collections. It is the only funding stream in the UK dedicated to cataloguing and unlocking archives.
