CoCo Record Pop Up Shop in Burton (in aid of sarac)

Wed 11 Jul 2018

We need your help.

Sarac is a local charity that supports victims and survivors of sexual abuse and rape. All donations from the pop-up shop will go to the charity.

Why a Pop-Up shop?

Communities worry about the loss of shops in our towns. It is easier and cheaper to shop online for what we want but then we miss out on what we need.

When we say we miss the local shops, what we mean is we miss connection. We don’t miss the products we are sold; we miss and need each other. Sharing a smile, a nod, a brief hello, a conversation about our purchase and perhaps about how we are today. Shops allow for connection on our own terms as we can come and go as we please. Connection is a key element of mental health support and recovery from trauma. We need it.

What are we asking for?

You can help us by providing any or all of the options of support as follows:

Donations of vinyl records of good quality

Volunteer support to sort or sell the records

Help to spread the word
