Climate Change Action Fund

Fri 13 Nov 2020

Closing date: 29 January 2021

Tackling climate change is a priority for Staffordshire County Council.  We are committed reducing our carbon emissions to zero by 2050.  To help our communities do their bit towards a greener future for Staffordshire we’ve launched a new Climate Change Action Fund.

About the fund

Every county councillor has £1,000 to award to projects in their area and not-for-profit organisations who want to do something to protect the environment can apply for a grant.

The grant can be used to fund new projects that can:

  • Reduce carbon impact
  • Improve air quality
  • Adapt to climate change

Organisations who are eligible include charities, societies, voluntary and community groups, parish councils and schools.

Before submitting an application online, organisations will first need to speak with their county councillor.

Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis, so people are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Find out more in the grant scheme guidance.
