Big Lottery review Support Staffordshire (East Staffs) ‘Let’s Get Going’ project

The Big Lottery visited the Support Staffordshire (East Staffs) office to review the ‘Let’s Get Going’ project. The project (funded through Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities Stream) will run for the next 4 years and offer support services to people who want to get back into work or into Volunteering. Support Staffordshire East Staffs offer;

  • Regular work clubs in Burton and Uttoxeter
  • A supported volunteering programme
  • A community Buddy programme
  • Well supported volunteer placements at the Volunteer Centre in Union Street, Burton-upon-Trent
  • Training for volunteers
  • Training to improve work skills
  • IT training
  • Support to voluntary groups, charities and other organisations that support, or would like to support, volunteers

Support Staffordshire East Staffs are currently recruiting for the following volunteer placements;

  • Reception
  • Social Media Volunteer
  • Support Volunteers for IT classes
  • Support Volunteers for Work Clubs
  • Community Resource Centre Volunteer
