Another Wednesday Welcome in Wilnecote
Tue 10 Sep 2019
Wilnecote is already a very welcoming place, with a regular Places of Welcome drop in happening every Wednesday morning at the Library(based in the grounds of the Wilnecote School). Now local residents also have somewhere to go on a Wednesday afternoon for a cuppa, a chat and some support if needed.
At 2pm on 4th September, Wilnecote Congregational Church launched as a Place of Welcome. A lively group of people turned up to for hot drinks and hospitality, served up by Rev Stella. Amongst those present was local PofW Facilitator Judith Parry and Carolann Hastilow from Toolbox. Carolann enjoyed cake and conversation, whilst letting people know about the Toolbox Project, which helps people to gain and maintain good emotional wellbeing.
More information about Places of Welcome can be found on the website at www.placesofwelcome.org.uk, including a search function which helps to locate a venue near you. Alternatively, drop Judith an email on firstname.lastname@example.org. Toolbox is managed by South Staffs Network for Mental Health, details of which are here: https://ssnmentalhealth.co.uk/toolbox/ "
