Ensuring Staffordshire residents receive the best possible care in their homes and in their communities is one of Staffordshire County Council’s top priorities.

People in Staffordshire are living longer but not necessarily healthier lives, and as a result more and more people need NHS and social care services.  

To promote health and independence and continue to provide good quality services in the future, the NHS and social care services need to be joined up. Working together also helps to ensure that care remains affordable.

Citizen Advice Services at Risk Petition

Citizens Advice Staffordshire South West have launched  an online petition to collect as many signatures as possible to try and influence the proposal by Staffordshire County Council to end the funding of the county wide advice service provided by us. We need a minimum of 5000 signatures to get the proposal back to the full council for further scrutiny and debate and wondered if you would please support our campaign and sign our petition.

Ambassadors to spread the word on Staffordshire health and care changes

Health leaders in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are looking for community champions to help spread the word about plans to transform the way healthcare is provided across the county.

The Together We’re Better programme, a partnership of health trusts, clinical commissioning groups and local authorities, aims to provide services which better meet the needs of local people, offer a greater focus on prevention and wellbeing, and work more effectively by breaking down the traditional boundaries between organisations so they work together to share ideas and learning.

Cyber Safe Staffordshire Survey

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire, alongside Staffordshire Police have  ecently launched the Cyber Safe Staffordshire campaign. The campaigns main aim is to raise awareness of cyber crime and the ways people can protect themselves.

As part of this campaign they have a number of different themes and in November they are focussing on cyber bullying. They have created a short survey to try to get a better understanding of cyber bullying in Staffordshire and the affect it has on young people.

SSNMH - Toolbox Project

The South Staffordsire Network for Mental Health hasbeen awarded a grant from the Big Lottery for a Toolbox Project to provide an emotional wellbeing and mental illness prevention service across the six district of South Staffordshire.
